Thank you all for your replies, I must admit that my panics have been going on for years, since the early 1960's to be true, usually they happen about once or twice every few months but they are pretty horrible when they happen, and I have been through the whole gauntlet of symptoms. They all seem based on the same thing - my health. It feels so frustrating not to be able to deal with them, both my sons get them also. my eldest boy deals with them ok by telling them to come on and do their worst and that usually disipates them, but I can not manage that, I have tried, it is ok if the panic is not too fierce, it will work then for a bit; and all the breathing into paper bags; there is also a help group with a phone line during the day. In the middle of the night it is just hell. I just want to scream and scream for it to stop. The next day there is sanity again. The average time is about eight to fourteen hours. It is still horrible. :)Thanks every one you have really helped.
