I don't understand what's going on. I stopped stuffing myself with food and upped my exercise, but I'm still gaining weight. Past 5-6 days, I've been mostly eating veggies, eggs, tofu, sauerkraut (vitamin C galore) and massive amounts of green tea and water. I know that veggies and sauerkraut can make you bloated, but I'm not bloated, just plain fat, like every morning there is more and more blubber on my tummy (looks like celulite :8o: ) ... I'm somewhat freaking out here, because I never had problems with my weight. Today I put on jeans, and my stomatch freaking rolled over the waist. Sorry for being so graphic here :) How is it possible that I'm gaining more weight when I exercise (it's not muscle , I know it weights more than fat, but that's not it) and eat right. I heard that smoking speeds up your metabolism, but didn't think to this extent! Hey I will look for a post that says something about smoking burning calories and now you arent burning those calories since you quit....the post is alot better then my description....if anyone knows the name or where its at will you bump it? I will look too. You keep an eye out for it!! I have stuffed my face alot and gained alot...I wouldn't feel right sittin' on my big butt givin' you advice!! [font=Comic Sans MS][color=Blue]Hey Me ! Could it be that you are about to start your period ?? It happened to me.. I was truckin' along.. losing weight and then bam.. I was gaining it right in my stomach.. like lots.. Turned out I was starting my period. When my period was gone.. the weigh was too.. Also.. waiting too long between meals can slow down your metabolism as well. Try eating more often .. small meals.. Remember to always eat breakfast.. not breaking your fast will slow down you metabolism as well. Maybe you are retaining water.. try a one day diaretic.. Maybe cut back on salt.. You will do it.. your body may be adjusting to eating/not eating/not smoking... just guessing here.. Hang Tuff.. smoking does not effect your metabolism that much.. I gained 20 lbs..from munching !! Have now lost 10 of it.. and it is slowly going away and my metabolism seems to be returning to normal too.
