Hi, ShannyOcean.
When I started a fitness program several months ago, I had to start tracking what I ate. I was totally shocked at all the c**p I was shoving into my face. Cheetos, brownies, crackers, Snickers bars, ice cream, Pepsi, mixed nuts. Each occurance was one small event, essentially meaningless and invisible in itself. But add them up over a day and **PLUMP**.
So I started cutting them out, one by one ($!@#$!more deprivation!*!*). When I started craving them I thought I was also a carb addict on top of nicotine. Sheee, here we go again!!! But I soon found that lean meat was just as appealing as carbs. I wasn't craving carbs, I was habit-eating. Now the morning brownie, the Pepsi and cookies with lunch, the afternoon Snickers bar, and the evening bag of Cheetos are pretty much as foreign now as they were common last year.
I haven't tracked sodium but with Cheetos, nuts, etc., I'm probably better off not knowing what I was doing to me. :8o:
