Wow, things are really different tonight than they were last night!! I dtill don't really know what the difference is but I am sooooo much better!
My son had a basketball mishap at day camp and I got called to come get him. He had a gash on his eye that was about two inches long between the lid and the brow. Now, I told myself very firmly "this has absolutly nothing to do with wheather you are smoking or not and smoking is certainly not going to make it better". I took him directly to the doctor and they fixed him up. (they really just ended up "supergluing" him back together, which is funny.)
Then I went over to see my mom and she is still smoking. I was dreading it but I had to go because you see she has COPD and this was a really bad ozone day here in Houston so I had to make sure that she is ok. I wasn't at all tempted while I was there. Then came a big test. She asked me to go get her some cig.s because she is almost out and she can't go out because of the ozone. So I told myself "Ok, it is not nessesary for you to smoke just because you are buying cigs. for her, that is her choice and yours is to not smoke."
Anyways, I know I couldn't have done any of that yesterday. I would have been buying myself a carton if I had tryed to handle that yesterday. So what happened? It is my attitude. And it was you guys that helped change it. So thank you for getting me through that yesterday and also thank you in advance for all my future bad attitudes.
I hope that I will be able to help you too in return.
Just wanted to let you know how much better I am feeling.
Thank you again,
Mama
