I was reading a book about panic disorder and one thing that struck me was that they mentioned the relation between panic attacks and seperation anxiety. They say that if you as a child had seperation anxiety to your mother (or caregiver) than you're more likely to have panic attacks. This just seemed interesting to me, bc as a child, i always wanted to be around my mother, and when i was 16 and my attacks were at their worst, i wouldnt leave my mothers side! (I'm not even close to my mother!) I guess it's just a comfort sort of thing. Anyone else have someone in their life who is an attachment figure that you get seperation anxiety from?
