It's certainly hard to be more active in the colder weather to help with maintaining a healthy weight.
What you eat is equally if not more important. Be mindful of foods containing hidden sugars. That includes most processed, packaged foods. Also, limit of avoid completely drinking juices, energy drinks, vitamin waters these all have high amount of sugars and limited nutritional value.
If you haven't yet, I suggest checking out our 'sister-site' called Healthy Weight Center. There are some great tips and advice on how to maintain a healthy weight.
It sounds like you know what works best for you and, with positive thoughts and Spring (sort of) around the corner, you will be able to get back on track!
It seems also that it is a metabolism thing, not an increase in appetite. Have you tried more water and foods with less fat and protein. Both those contribute to fat storage. Some fat is necessary.
If it is appetite you can try that old appetite suppressant. An apple before meals, or part of one. The fibre (pectin) expands and gives you a full feeling.
The sugar and milk in my coffee is a factor too.
If the celexa works it would be a shame to stop it till you are positive you don't need it. You can usually tell this by forgetting to take it.
I have been on my Celexa for some time now,and although i want to ween off it,i have to keep in mind this helps me..so i plan to try later to do this,,for now,it is the weight gain...i have put on a good 20-30 pounds since starting this, and i understand this is a side effect of it...but,now i need a few things to wear..i have out grown my clothes!
I have tried, but the weight seems to be stuck were it is..so,until spring time, when i can get out and walk more.i have to accept myself were i am right now.....thats kinda hard for me,as i have always been thin, and now..well,like i said i need to accept me the way i am.....i think that is a positive attitude for me to have, also age may be playing a part too!!!
