m33,

Sounds like this was a challenging situation for you. Have you progressed further in the program since this occurred? If so, where are you at in the program and what strategies can you use to help you cope?

i went to my doctors appt. today for a follow up on my anxiety. well, about 7 or 8 months ago i was having bad chest pains off and on. so i had went to the ER one night to have em check me out. they had done an e.k.g , blood work, ex rays, and a stress test. all the test came back fine. they determined that there was nothing wrong with my heart and that i had an i irritated sternum. well for months now they were telling me that i needed to go in for a follow up ex ray. i told em no. well today at the doctors my doc. told me again that i had an ex ray to do. so finaly i asked her why everyone is still asking me to do this. she looked at the ex ray results from the er room and said that the ex ray they took of my lungs looked hazy. needless to say i freaked out. instant panic attack. i just started asking the doctor (well what does that mean) just all kinds of questions. here it is 8 hour later and im still worked up about it. well after talking to a few people they said that they get ex rays like that all the time either from a bad picture of the ex ray or something. my doctor ended saying that they do that to make sure that they cover their backs so they dont get sued.

ok my point is that i suffer from hypochondria and that means all i do is worry about something being wrong with me. this was not the exposure work i was planning on doing lol. so can anyone tell me how to deal with this? i mean hazy ex rays or hazy lungs, this was along time ago i would think that if there was something wrong with me i would have known it by now.
