Difference between delegation and micromanaging?

Davit,
I'll have to ask about whether they have cooking as part of home care, since there are so many guidelines.

Hugs

In my area they have home support. I've used them. They batch cook with your ingredients and recipes if you have something you want done a specific way. I've had Lasagne, spaghetti sauce, soup, meat loaf and those sort of thing made in bulk and frozen. It is free here and they come for two hours at a time any where from once a week to twice a day depending how much need is needed. I've used them when I had Staph infection and when I had a broken leg.
Is there anything like that in your area.

Davit.

Delegation!

Things will go smoother when you ask for help!  Yes, you may have to come to terms that it isn't done according to your specs, however, the new found time can be used for other things and perhaps some relaxing for you??

Hi Hugs:

I am a big fan of delegating; I realize that I have to give up control when I do that.  Using the casserole as an example, if I ask for someone else to make the casserole, I will give them guidelines but I really have to let go and let them make them best casserole they can.  It's not easy but I definitely think it is worth asking for help and relieving the burden of having too much to do.

Micromanaging, I think would be to ask for help with the casserole and then to stay in the kitchen the entire time, making sure that they make the casserole well.  Do you agree?

I hope you are able to make the best of your situation and to take some things of off your plate.  It sounds like you deserve to give yourself a break.

What do you feel is the difference between micromanaging and delegating?

I think I could use some help as a caregiver, but sometimes I end up "doing it myself" causing me more grief?

Any body have any quick definition to avoid undue stress?

I noticed it might pay, although I haven't checked into it, to have a couple of casseroles cooked by someone outside the home, rather than use the time that I could use for other activites around the home, as an example.
