I had a minor setback today with a small attack while at a friends house watching the football games. I was able to remove myself from the situation, take an extra med, and within 5-10 minutes use self talk and breathing to calm myself down. I then enjoyed the rest of the day with my friends without any other problems.
No panic attacks today! This is the 1st day in a long time that I have been panic free and been able to eat and go to bed without a problem. I am very excited.
I seem to have a problem with certain things being in my trash can or dirty dishes in the sink. The thought of them being gross and disgusting makes me want to clean them or sometimes I want to like lick my fingers after handling something dirty like leftover dishes. It is the weirdest feeling and its embarrasing.
About 30 minutes later I was able to lay down on the couch upstairs and did a session of self talk. I was able to lay and tell myself I will be here and the anxiety will pass. All it took as around 10 minutes of slow breathing and self talk and I was able to go watch the game and even eat a good lunch.
