I am so sorry to read what you have been going through. The amount of grief you must be experiencing is likely very intense. That is very frustrating that you did not get a call back from the help center. This site does not act as a crisis line. I encourage you to call the National Hotline for Crisis Intervention in the Bahamas. Hopefully they will be able to offer you someone to talk to immediately. They are listed as being available 24/7. There phone number is (242) 422-2763 and (242) 322-2763. If you feel you are at immediate risk of harming yourself please call 911 or go to the hospital. Be sure you are not alone.

You may also want to talk to your doctor about how you are feeling. Your doctor may be able to offer you local supports and some relief. Grieving is painful and takes time. Try to get support from loved ones and try to take care of yourself. Focus on your immediate needs like drinking water, eating healthy food, resting, light exercise and meditating or doing another activity that can relax you. Try to avoid substances like alcohol, as it will make you feel worse in the long run. Allow yourself to grieve and cry. Taking care of yourself and allowing yourself to grieve is what you can do right now. Remind yourself that this intense pain is temporary. Ask yourself what would your partner want you to do now? What advice would you give to a loved one going through the same thing? The fact that you are looking for help now tells me you are a strong fighter. You can and will get through this, even though it may not feel like it now. I am so sorry you have to go through this. Please take good care of yourself.

Post whenever you need to. You are not in this alone.

I am here seeking support that I have been unable to get via the chat or phone call.

I do think I have been clinically depressed for years and just going through the motions of life like nothing was wrong. Recently something has happened that has pushed me on my knees trying to figure out if life is even worth living. I've called into this help center and was told I would get a call back and never did. I went back into the chat and asked for help again and was told I need to call back. Is this website any help at all? I am in crisis. Al I wanted was to speak to someone locally here in The Bahamas. This website is absolutely no help. I am so disappointed

12 days ago I lost my partner of 6 years to gun violence. I had just seen him 2 hours prior to his death and I feel as if I have nothing left. I dont feel the need to go on but is it weird I cant find the guts to take my life. After years of feeling abandoned, used and unloved I felt as if I had found someone I would grow old with. He was taken from me very violently and I cant come to terms of life without him. I dont know how to go on without him here. I feel guilty that I'm still here and he's not. I am naturally very petite and within a little under 2 weeks of no sleep and barely eating I have lost 5lbs and counting.

What do I do?

What do I do ?

WHAT DO I DO?!
