David, Thanks for sharing with us and congratulations on the wedding :) Have you tried relaxation techniques? What about breathing techniques? Prepare by reducing your anxiety level as much as you can. Try a hot bath, some soothing music or a warm beverage? You said your girlfriend helps this as well. Tomorrow do sign up for the Panic Diary where you can record your daily level of anxiety. You can also find how helpful it is to use breathing techniques to help you deal with your panic and anxiety. I know you have been with us for a bit and have probably done this before, but please try the relaxation techniques and a small journal. You do realize you will be getting married in 6 weeks, this can give anyone some level of Panic and Anxiety. You will do very well, take it step by step and use you what you have learned :) Let us know if we can help, Josie _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

The shaky feeling has been on and off with me. My wedding is now less than six weeks away, I am in my second month og changing jobs and my diet is now better than it was. And yet I had a lot of anxiety when we had an hour and a half meeting on Friday at work. I had trouble sitting still and I guess you can call it a shaky feeling. It's really strange sometimes; I can be feeling very good and then my mind starts to wander and then the bad thoughts come in with the anxiety and you do not feel safe. My fiance is a great help with this. Last night I worked out for about over an hour and we ended a really nice weekend. It was one of her two showers and I drove my mom nearly 100 miles roung trip so she could be there. The driving on the highway at night really can bother me sometimes. That added to the anxiety and I really felt shaky on Saturday. Now the new week starts and I am trying to climb back to feeling solid, but you know that feeling you get after you experience panic or anxiety? You know, the one where you feel shaky, but you feel hot or nervous at the same time. It's weird. It's kind of a chemical reacton to the panic. Anyway, That's my story today. David

Thanks Lulu- good for you for not googling! The aggravation you are saving yourself must be paying off. That IS an achievemnet! David- thanks for sharing your story. Congrats on your upcoming marriage. This sounds like a busy time for you with lots of changes. Last year when we built our house we had to live at my moms and my son changed schools. This caused a major spike in my anxiety which took months for me to recover. Even 'good' changes can cause stress. Try not to get wrapped up in too many details that will stress you out and take one day at a time. Congrats again! :) Another note regarding diet, as occasional coffee drinker I really notice the difference that coffee can make! From stomach upset, to feeling low, shaky if I drink too much in the afternoon, which ALL help lead me to more panicky feelings. Take care everyone! Thanks for replys! :)

My diet has not been great this fall either. I am making an effort now to stay away from sweets and anything else that may bother my condition. I would suggest the same. I have been on a rollercoaster too. I had a panic attack at work the day after Thanksgiving. I am sure it's diet related as I ate my lunch that day and soon after I got panicky. I have felt some insecurity and I am sure you know how that can also trigger your panic cycle. My fiance and I have started working out more seriously lately and I'd like to think it's working. We are inside 2 months until our wedding and that also can be triggering some panic. I also changed jobs and moved, as I have mentioned and that's got to also have an effect on me. I hope some of my experienced helped you to realize that diet can be a factor and that your shaky feeling is similar to mine. Wrestler/David

Hi Alison most of the time there will be a logical explanation i think you answered your own concerns you are not used to eating alot of carbs and sugars and you have eaten a bit lately so i think that plus in the back of your mind your telling yourself that you shouldnt be eating that adds to your stress which feeds your anxiety.Thats just my opinion anyhows.I get the shakes too which dosnt help my anxiety but i have found the more i understand about anxiety and panic the easier it has been for me to deal with and i havnt googled a single symptom for weeks now. What an achievement!Who wouldve thought. You will be ok.Take care. okay thanks, I am not trying to be annoying by my banter but I have recently seen my doctor for a physical and she said I was in good health. The problem I struggle with is where to draw the line in seeing the doctor. What is bizzare to me is that when I google "shaky arms and legs" or whatever it pops up on my web browser. Then I see that I've googled this many times before. So I have had this before several times in the past. However I forget and it's like the new problem every time. Does anyone else have a habit of forgeting that they already conquered an illness???

Alison, What Josie is simply suggesting is to -if you already have not- see your Doctor for a complete physical and if there is a problem your Doctor will be able to identify it. Thus omitting the need to constantly see the Doctor. I hope this clears everything up for you. Take Care, Melanie __________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Thanks Josie, I've splurged in my eating habits this week as is was my birthday. I haven't cheated in months. After you eat low carb (the healthy way, lots of vegetables, lean meats, cheeses, some low sugar fruits, some whole wheat breads) you realize how horrible sugar and white flour can make you feel. It's easy to get back on track (how I eat) because it makes me feel so sick the other way. It does upset me when you say see your doctor to rule out a medical condition, because that makes me think you think there could be something wrong with me. My psychologist always enforces not to run to the doctor about every little thing unless its very serious. That is just merely enforces my assurance seeking behavior. That I need to wait weeks and learn to calm down and think realistically about. That assurance to a hypocrandriac is like alcohol to an alcoholic. It's never enough and your not stopping the cycle on your own. What are you thoughts?
