Thank you all for your wonderful support. I did not mean to worry you Gina, John-John your post was full of wisdom and calmness, thank you, Lynn I did call the DOctor, I did NOT call the paramedics, I just have to accept that I am very sick with broncitis and I am going to feel terrible till its gone, I just worry its pnuemonia or lung cancer and I try to chase those scarey thoughts away. Between this and my kidney infection it has made my panic sky-high and then I get depressed because I feel so sick. I am still taking the Paxil. I am watching the hurricane in New Orleans and it breaks my heart, I am trying to count my blessings I guess I could have it worse. Please let me know how you all are doing. God bless you, Debbie.

Hi Debbi, Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. Yes it is possible to cough blood with bronchitis, however that is a clear indication that you need to see your doctor soon. Read this page: http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00031.html The section "When to seek medical advice" is most applicable. Realise however, that coughing blood does NOT necessarily mean you have congestive heart failure or a pulmonary embolism (a blockage of your pulmonary artery). Is your mother in law a doctor? If not, then don't worry about her analysis of your situation. Let a medical professional tell you what's going on. Knowing that you can call the paramedics at any time is good! However, they are not doctors, it really is best if you go and see a doctor soon. In cases like these its easy to think you have the worst possible sickness. I know its really really hard! Be brave, see a doctor and things will sort themselves out! :)

My Mother-in-law said I am way too sick to have broncitis and I was misdiagnosed, she said the cough, dizziness, and gurgling and bubbling when I breathe can be congestive heart failure or something called pulmonary embolism, I am afraid to even know what that one means, can broncitis cause coughing up some blood in your mucus and that nonstop gurgling? Now I am scared to death, I do not want to call the paramedics and have my son come home from school and see this, I am so exhausted from the nonstop shaking and sweating, I am so afraid I have something much more worse than broncitis, it seems like I am way to sick. I might have to call them again I cannot breathe right, I should call someone to care for my son I am so afraid I will stop breathing.
