Hi Karen. Zoloft can actually cause anxiety but your suppose to give it two weeks to see if the symptoms subside. I was on lexapro before and I had to get off of it because made me so nervous, almost manicky. I am on Prozac now and I've been feeling good, its helped me dramitcally. If the zoloft dosent work dont be hesitent to try a different medication. Xanax helps me with my anxiety but it sometimes can cause rebound anxiety, meaning after it wears off it will come back.
