Congrats and happy anniversary!!! You are doing it up right with a fantastic reward! I'd expect nothing less because you certainly deserve it! Here's to the next five smoke-free years.... and B E Y O N D!!!
Thanks for being such an integral part of many of our journeys, Buddy!
Thanks for the well wishes. For those who remember me from 5 years ago, I was all about rewards! For this five year reward, I will head over to Europe for a nice holiday, including spending a week in Paris. What is significant about this is that the last time I was in Paris was 3 months after I quit smoking. For those of you who have been to Paris in the past, smoking was a huge part of their culture. The cafes, the bars, the restaurants - smoking was everywhere. I was very nervous since I was such a new quitter. I survived the trip smoke free, and since then France and most of Europe has become smoke free. It will be nice to go back and not worry about the cigarette smoke.
Rock!! What amazing numbers to be celebrating! We are SO proud of you - I can't imagine just how proud you, your family and friends must be for the important life change that you made and stuck with these past 5 years.
Wishing you many more healthy, smoke-free years ahead. Thanks for stopping in to say hello and continue to inspire members here. How have you celebrated this milestone?
Hi Rock, Congratulations on your five years quit. Plus I want to thank you for all encouraging posts and the support you gave me while I was trying to quit and stay quit..You have helped so many down this road to freedom..
Hey Rock! Thanks for popping in with your big news! I miss your virtual travel tours but so glad you are doing so well now : ) Thanks for your many words of wisdom and encouragement over the past 5 years her at SSC :) Hope you found a fitting reward for your fin anniversary :)
I woke up and changed my normal routine. I didn't have a smoke with my coffee. And for the past 1,826 days, I've continued this new habit. And I promise you that for the next 1,826 days, I'll continue. It isn't a habit anymore. It's my life. A wonderful smoke free life. Thanks to everybody at the SSC who helped me quit smoking. I quit cold turkey. The first couple days, weeks, and months were rough, but the support of the members here helped me get to where I am today. I don't get here as often as I'd like, but please know I am behind each and every one of you, cheering you on as you tackle another day being smoke free!
For those on the edge, please put down that cigarette for the last time. Make today your quit date. Start a new habit. And in a year from now, all of us will celebrate on August 20, 2014 with a wonderful life!
