Terror...and then clarity

I stopped smoking hashish a long time ago because it could make me feel anxious. It caused my first panic attack when I was sixteen. I experienced sometimes how a real bad attack just stopped. It could take hours but their seems to be a limit. All of a sudden my muscles relaxed while I was in the middle of an attack and soon after it was over. Good to know.

Alright, I am not smoking dope but can I share something like that? I took my kids to Astroworld. I hate hights. My goal was get on a rollercoaster and I did it. I screamed my head off, felt like I was dying at any given moment, praying for God to take me before we crashed......and then it was over. It was like.."Wow. I survived that!" panic and all. Now, there are things I wont try again (such as the roller coaster)becaue it did raise my panic enven though I did not die....I know now, it isNOT for me!!

Just wanted to share an experience I had. One night I had some friends from work come over, and they wanted me to smoke some pot with them. I'd smoke the stuff before, but had alot of bad experiences with it. Usually resulting in anxiety and such, although not every time was a "Bad" trip. I'd had several beers by the time they arrived, and I was smoking pretty hardcore considering I hadn't touched the stuff in ages. I had the HUGEST panic attack ever. It was like I left the entire planet and was in this zone of terror. The awesome thing was that I came through that, and overcame it. My friends talked me through that time, and I was able to turn it all around and feel really good. It's been a moment of clarity for me ever since. Knowing that even in that extreme of terror, I was able to overcome it and be fine.
