Hi I also have that sick dizzy feeling in the back of my head, also it creeps up the back of my neck now and then. It freaks me out too. My doc said it is anxiety. I take low dose prozac and it doesnt happen that often unless I drive all day or something. Hope this helps.

I used to watch this old show called Night Court (anyone remember that one?). Anyway, one of my favorite lines from a show came from there: "Do you suffer from dizziness?" "No" "Me either, I think they're quite relaxing." Every time I go through a dizzy spell (so often) that pops in my head and makes me laugh. Just thought I'd share. ;p

Oh yeah. I can be sitting down doing nothing and get very dizzy. It use to upset me, but now I am kinda use to it and ignore it. I know it will last just a few seconds and I have had it so many times that I realized nothing came of it, so I do not pay any attention to it now!

Thanks for your replies. I've calmed down a bit today!! It just took me by surprise because it wasn't that usual light headed dizziness i get, it felt like vertigo. I think people get dizzy in general, most people just forget about it though, or so everyone keeps telling me!! Anymore advice is most welcome!!

I am the Queen of Dizzy! It is definitely anxiety! It hits me when I'm not feeling particularly anxious also. When you get to feeling like that, either sit down or lean on something and breath deep. It will go away. Hang in there!

Yes it is probably anxiety. I get dizzy a lot too. Sometimes I think it is related to what I eat and don't eat too. I wouldn't worry about too much. If it makes you feel more comfortable then ask your doctor. :)

Can anyone help me? I just went really dizzy for th space of about 5 seconds and its really freaked me out!! I often feel off balance with and anxiety and stuff but this was full on dizzy in the back of my head. I have felt anxious all day and got quite bad in the grocery shop but i had been at home a while and thought i had calmed down then this hit me out of the blue. It didn't last long but the one thing I am scared of is being dizzy so this is doing my head in, What if i have a brain tumour, or MS, or something like that, I don't want to die, I'm scared this feeling will come back!! Does anybody think its just anxiety? PLEASE HELP!!
