The biggest help to me in the beginning was a long soak in the tub every night!  A warm washcloth over my face and soothing tunes on the radio.  That was a life saver for me.....

What helped me the most was a tall glass of ice gold water with a lemon wedge and of course the support of all my SSC friends......

Thank you for sharing this with us.  You are very right.

If you had to pick one thing that helped you the most while quitting what would it be?

Title
To be successful may mean a change in your routine.  Exercise, eating well and sensibility, sucking on ice cubes, water to help and replace need, taking an aspirin or two, showering to take the edge off and getting to sleep early.  Relaxation, thinking beyond the immediate to what will be gained.  Understand it is a tall order, however it will be one that puts the energy and life back into your soul: goals, feeling good and after all fulfillment.  It is an understatement to say that it is worth the effort.

I could not be more pleased with myself that I was able to quit.   Relapses are hard and must be avoided.
