Thank you Tabbyh for the information and history of the bridge, that is quite interesting. This makes it double scary crossing the bridge after what happened in 1939. My husband and I are planning a bike trip to Newfoundland next year so maybe we can check out that bridge on the way. Or better yet maybe Kaiser can plan a train trip to New Brunswick and we can all cross the bridge together as non smokers. lol

Thank you all it was a major accomplishment for me.
Memie, the picture is taken midway across the bridge, but I did make it all the way across and back. Something I tried and failed the first time I was there lol. I am petrified of heights... the 3rd step on a ladder is high enough for me lol This is the Priceville Footbridge in McNamee, New Brunswick. The bridge crosses the Miramichi River. It is a 630 foot long footbridge. The original bridge collapsed in 1939, taking the lives of 3 local residents. They later added a center pier for proper stability. Eventually the bridge was replaced in 1988 and has been a favourite spot for both tourists and locals. My next challeng, I'm not sure... maybe try the rope course at TreeGo lol.

Cool Tabbyh, I like your new avatar, did you cross the bridge or did you just go half way, I know I'm afraid of heights and it would be scrary to cross over. I am also curious to know what bridge this is or in what province. Again congratulations on one year.....
