It is an interesting article!
As for giving smokers an excuse not to give up........I certainly paid no attention to anything like that when I was smoking, as I assumed I would be fine.  Smokers do not need an excuse given to them, they make excuses up themselves until they are ready to quit, I know I did!
MM I'd check with a doctor about taking anything at all.  The interactions with drugs can be weird.  I've been finding this out recently with medications given to me by my docs.

How many other cancers, other than lung cancer, are also aided and abetted by smoking?  My particular cancer is not considered a 'smoking' cancer, but I have to believe that 40 years of smoking must have had some effect on encouraging it!

Deb your quit is looking great!  Well done!

Love Lolly.

I saw this also.  I was wondering if it could help me out now.  Looks like it is being looked more as a preventative.  I wonder if that will give smokers a reason NOT to quit...?

I was watching the news this morning, and heard about an interesting preventative treatment for lung cancer (other than never smoking in the first place/quitting).  Researchers have found that by taking inositol, people who are genetically prone to lung cancer can actually reverse the gene pattern for that, to a more normal gene pattern.  Inositol is sold at health food stores.

Just thought I'd share that tidbit.  Although we've quit, I still worry about lung cancer (and other cancers).
