Stickin - So true.  Every evening when I begin to settle down (ie - not constantly running around on my feet) I start to feel a huge pull. I was eating constantly during this time to fill some of the void.  Now I'm trying to recognize it and be ready for it to grab me!!!  Instead of going towards cigarettes or food, I've started making a very, very large cup of decaf coffee.  Put some cinnamon and vanilla in it for a treat.  I can sip on that for quite some time and the bad crave usually goes away!

It's true that when I'm more prepared I handle it all so much better.  I also like Josie's suggestion of journaling our cravings.

I know that I must keep my guard up because nicodemon will continue to probe my defenses.  I have my tool box filled with my distractions, many of which are quite pleasant to enact. Even though at times I fill that I am at my wits end, I know that the urge will pass and with time will they will become less and less severe, and tolerable.

This is my goal and it is and very achievable.  I personally have control over this. I am here to show myself and others that if you can do this, I can do this as well. I going to do this.

Take care of something that you have been meaning to do, distract yourself if only for a moment; then hot shower and if at night an aspirin and sleep tight.
