Like Karren mentioned , just give it time. Plan healthy well-balanced meals, drink lots of fluids, eat low-fat snacks like fruits and veggies, and keep active.
You're on the right track with the walking. Maybe you can start an exercise routine and set a goal for example: walk 10 minutes everyday, then step it up to 20 minutes and so on. Add some fun factor to your physical activity by joining a fitness or dance class or whatever suits your current lifestyle. The possibilities are endless. PM both my husband and myslef have got bigger tums since quitting- the weight hasn't gone anywhere else -just around the middle- we have joined a gym and tried healthier eating but the tums remain- someone said about 12 months for the metabolism to get back to normal so I guess we'll have to wait a while...

Hi dont know to much about exercising but I started to walk when I get the bad thoughts, and I dont know why it works but the cravings go away. Now quit buddies how do I get rid of this big beer belly?? Dont get me wrong I am not a drinking person but since I started to stop smoking in May of this year I got this buldge hanging over my belt and it looks bad. Would walking work..
