Ok, maybe I could have titled this post differently. Many people I know went through really rough health problems like endless coughing, aches, pains, and flu like symptoms when they stopped smoking.
I was dreading the idea of a quit...but...my horrible bone wracking smokers cough went away the very day I stopped smoking and I haven't had a problem since!! My immune system seems to have stepped up to the plate too as I haven't even had a cold.
However, I do notice that my lung capacity is low. I can't sing an entire song as I can't seem to take a deep enough breath, and I still get a little breathless after climbing stairs (4 flights over and over again at work).
I think I need to get more excersise. I walk quite a bit, but don't do much of anything else....I used to play the flute and still have it tucked away in the back of my closet.
Time to do some wind excersises!
Anyway back to the topic at hand...the not being sick part. I feel like an anomily and I fear appearing bragadocious. I'm just wondering if there is anyone else out there who had a significant and unexpected turn for the better health wise when they stopped smoking?
If anything, I notice that the lining of my nostrils has puffed out a bit making breathing through my nose difficult, and I've had to switch to a softer tooth brush as my gums bleed easily. I also drink far more fluids than I did before I quit because my voice cuts out if I don't.
Other than that - nothing
Ok, I will now start ducking tomatoes
