That is the type of mind set I am talking about. It is such a strong addiction that the mind becomes convinced that the body cannot do without the cigarettes. Having been addicted I understand that, however, viewing that thought process from this vantage point (post addiction), the falacy of the thought pattern is obvious). The irony of it is, however, that we don't know that until we practice cessation for an extended period of time. That is a very clear example of how fooled we are by smoking. It makes us believe that we can not live without it, and in one sense it is correct, because if we continue to smoke, eventually we will not be living at all...
