Kristilu...I know I wrote this to you once before, but here goes again. Here is my pledge that I filled out when joining this wonderful group of people:
My Public Pledge
I know this is going to be considered a "wrong" answer, but I am quitting for my husband of 38 years. He has COPD and is very ill. Intellectually, I know I need to quit, but emotionally, my body still wants to smoke. For me, doing this as an act of love for my husband has made it easier for me to accompish...different strokes for different folks.
and you know what?? I DID do it, maybe it was not the wrong answer to do it for my husband and my kids, yeah, it has been hard, yeah, I have had days when I felt like crying, yeah, but...I HAVE DONE IT!! I am a NON Smoker.
No, it is not easy. I have had days when I thought the craving was going to get the better of me, but if you truly, really TRULY want this (and please, think of your Dad), YOU CAN DO THIS!! We are here for you...never ever give up, you are young and you can do this!!! next time you think about that rolled up nicotine that is causing you so much pain, take a good long look at that picture of that sweet ittle girl next to you in your pix!!
Hang Tough, kiddo, you CAN do this!!
