Hi Sara, What you're describing is called 'depersonalzation' and is a very common symptom with PD... What helps me is to do some deep breathing as part of what you're feeling is due to shallow breathing... remember to breathe from your tummy and not your chest.. Hope you feel better soon.. remember, it's just anxiety and it can't hurt you and NO, you are not loosing your mind... we've all felt that at one time or another, i know i have but i've found panic people to be some of the sanest folks around, lol.. prolly cause we're so 'in tune' with everyting... Love, Cali :)

Thanks for your response. I was also really numb feeling after it happened. I felt as though I had been druged or something. Very strange!!! I guess if I was going crazy I wouldn't know it anyway. Thanks again for your response, I really appreciate it.

Hi Sara, I don't think you need to worry about bi-polar or anything like that. It sounds as if you had a moment of "unreality" they call it. Everything looks different to you and odd. I can only explain it like it's almost like I had a few drinks and everything else is going on and I am just there, LOL. Hope this helps, it was probably a small attack or not an attack at all, just that feeling, I have that feeling all the time without the full blown attack. Sam S

Hey everyone, I deal with Anxiety symptoms everyday and am not currently on medication for personal reasons. I used to take paxil, I took it for 2 years. I came off of it and the anxiety came back. So I don't really think they work for the long run. My most recent scary thing that happened was last night. I was riding in the car and all of a sudden felt really weird. It's hard to describe. It almost felt like everything was moving except for me. It really freaked me out and now this morning I am very anxious and stuck on why this happened all of a sudden. We went out for dinner and shopped around a bit. I just had my normal anxiety... like usual but it's something I'm dealing with quite fine, most of the time. My fear is that I'm really losing my mind. Does anyone know if it's possible that maybe my brain is just fed up and can't handle this anymore? I'm scared, what if i'm developing like bi-polar or something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Foggy feeling Sara (23)
