Neverending Anxiety

Sara I, like you, didn't want to take meds but after 8 weeks and 14 ER visits I realized I had no choice. I think sometimes it really is a chemical inbalance and we have to take meds. I am on remeron and take toporol(beta blocker) for my heart racing. I also have colonipin I take when I have an attack. i am still getting use to the meds and today has been a challenge but all in all they are really helping me. i have been to the store and 2 parties with friends and i couldn't have done that even 3 weeks ago. I also have 2 young children and I didnt have the time to be sick with meds...but I am sick all the time now so I figured what's the difference. Find a doctor that will listen and explain your concerns. My doctor is great and worked with me and my symptoms to find the right meds. Good

Sara, Thanks for sharing your story. You seem like a busy girl! If you look to the left of your screen you will find many useful tools and references at your disposal. Try our Panic test and print the results for your doctor. This may help better assess the situation. We also have a Panic Program that has been used by many of our members. It is very helpful and useful. Please continue to post your concerns. There are many individuals here that know what you are going through and can be of some help throughout your journey. It takes time, so please take it slow and count on us for support. Josie _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team.

Hey Everyone, I've been dealing, or I think I have been dealing, with Anxiety and some panic attacks for about 4 years now. I am not taking any medication, personal reasons, for my anxiety but am thinking this is the only way to get rid of my CONSTANT anxiety. The anxiety is physically in my head 24/7 and is driving me nuts because I do not understand why it's always there and will not go away. It probably doesn't help that I think about it 24/7. But in that case, which comes first? Is it my anxiety that causes the symptoms, which is mostly in my head, or my thoughts? I do not wish to take any medication at this time! I want to succeed without it! I am getting upset with the fact that taking medication may be my only solution. I go to school and have a nine month old baby and don't have time to get sick from taking medication. Please help me to get rid or understand this constant feeling in my head. It's like as soon as I stop whatever I am doing and just sit still for a moment, my head feels like its moving back and forth and I get this dizzy feeling and feel sort of lightheaded. I do not understand why this is happening. I know it's "Anxiety" but how can it have this effect 24/7?? Isn't there any natural way to feel "normal" again and get rid of this constant state of tension and anxiety? My eyes also feel like they could pop out of my skull at anytime and are easily defocused? Any thoughts? Anyone? on anything I've mentioned.
