Can't stop eating

for 17 år siden 0 14 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
John, you are so right. Weight Watchers says you can eat anything you want, you just have to add up the points, ie calories/Fat/Fiber. If you choose low point items, you can eat all day; but almost everything has points. My favorite zero point item to eat are the huge pickles. Carrots and mustard are also zero, but you hardly ever see me eating a carrot or a salad for that matter. Stay away from mayo! All diet drinks are zero. Sorry, I am rambling. I try and fill myself up with water through out the day! It really does work. But drinking plain water can get a little boring, so now I am addicted to the crystal light on the go packets! They are only five calories per serving and turn your water into something different. Oh, and the lemonade is good if you mix it with vodka for a low calorie cocktail:) Enjoy! It is all in choices, I have heard that over and over but recently found out the truth. Actually, there is NOTHING WRONG with having a Hershey bar once in a while, actually less calories than my coke but more calories from fat. Everything in moderation. Look at this... So in my cafeteria today nothing overly healthy and not up for the salad bar so decided to go to subway. Got a 6" turkey with chips and drink Adding up my numbers on a calorie-count site I find out that the sub only 280 calories But the Chips & Drink = 430! I never knew! Could have ordered a Large Sub and Unsweetened tea and come out better! So, here is your Hershey Bar Serving Size 17 pieces (39.0 g) Amount Per Serving Calories 215 Calories from Fat 125 % Daily Value* Total Fat 13.9g21% Saturated Fat 6.8g34% Polyunsaturated Fat 0.9g Monounsaturated Fat 5.6g Cholesterol 7mg2% Sodium 29mg1% Total Carbohydrates 19.9g7% Dietary Fiber 1.4g6% Sugars 17.4g Protein 3.8g Now compare that to a large order of fries at Wendy's Serving Size 6 7/10 oz (190.0 g) Amount Per Serving Calories 590 Calories from Fat 216 % Daily Value* Total Fat 24.0g37% Saturated Fat 3.5g17% Sodium 570mg24% Total Carbohydrates 77.0g26% Dietary Fiber 7.0g28 You can eat a Hershey bar every day if you want to. It's all about Choices! Sue is right. That is not enough food. Carrots are fine, just watch what you are dipping it in - those calories add up too! Weight watchers teaches you to watch everything you put in your mouth, because it all adds up. I was on Weight Watchers before I quit and had lost 20 pounds. I am trying really hard to stick with the program. I agree nights are the worst!! Good Luck to all of us!! poker you are probably not eating enough of the right stuff. Ideally, some say, you should eat 5-6 healthy meals a day. Your body needs this fuel to keep burning fat and stuff, if you don't eat, it takes whatever you do eat and stores it as fat. So, be like a rabbit and get some green in your fridge, fruit, whole grains and eat up and drink a ton of water. You will soon be a lean mean non-smoking machine!! Poker, Your really doing good. Not for nothing....I gained 7 to 8 pounds. I am now trying to lose it. Did you say chocolate Hershey bar in your post?????????? :8o: I'm dying for a chocolate hershey bar. It sure is hard not to eat the "good" stuff.(and I don't mean carrots) But..anyway.... carrots is good advice. Especailly your body needs healthy vitimins right now (to heal) I found sucking on sour things like those sour candies that are in those cans really helps. So does chewing gum. Yep, I was and am the same. I'm keeping an even weight at the moment but finding it very hard still. I think it doesn't help because we have to eat whereas when we gave up the cigarette addiction we stopped completely. So trying to cut down on eating is so much harder 'cause we need to eat something. Make a decision. Decide that you are not - I repeat NOT - going to buy anymore rubbish to put in your cupboards. I need to make this decision too! :) I say I'm buying them for the kids packed lunches.. Bah, humbug! They're for me ;) So lets make this decision and go for it. Then you'll be amazed how much weight comes off. I've done it before, when I was a smoker. It will be hard but can't be as hard as the fags, can it? I have the appetite of a horse (sorry Mr Ed, wherever you are!) since I quit but the way I've been avoiding too much junk food is to make sure I've got fruit in the house. I may still be eating too much but I'd rather shovel two apples and a bunch of grapes down my gob first to kill off initial hunger pangs than to have a chocolate bar or twelve ;) although that wouldn't be too hard to do. Another trick I use is to keep something around that covers both sweet and salty that's low fat. Otherwise I'll be craving one or the other and with not naughty snacks you don't feel guilty filling up. Do you realize you could eat an entire watermelon and probably still have ingested fewer calories than that Klondike bar? Best advice is to read up on low fat food, find every last one you like to eat and stock up! Good luck x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 199 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,577 Amount Saved: 1,094.50 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 14 Mins: 24 Seconds: 40

All very good idea's, thank you for your thoughts. I did a chicken salad today for lunch, so we'll see how it goes tonight. I think I'll stop and get some baby carrots, and maybe some peaches, they sound good for some reason. Anyway, thank you for your idea's.
