Did something GREAT for me

Hi Jenn - I can so much relate....I exercised to quit thinking about smoking, I exercised to deal with stress and I exercised to lose weight...and, suddenly, I realize how much I've been missing. I belonged to a gym for years before I quit but I dragged my butt there twice per week maximum (It dug into my smoking time) ... plus I never got any better because my heart and lungs were so full of smoke. I also swam for the first time in years and it felt awesome! Keep up the good work! Cheeks, if you can get into the habit of distracting yourself with exercise early in your quit, you will stick with it, and the benefits of quitting become even more obvious. Like increased lung capacity, more stamina, more energy and better circualtion. Good for you, keep it up! So I woke up this morning with the worst crave so far. To deal with the crave I did a few things on the computer, had some breakfast....then decided to go workout! Just got back and I feel amazing. It feels so good to be able to exercise without wondering what the point is because I was still smoking. I need to lose weight and gaining weight was one of the reasons I avoided quitting for so long. I'm into my 6th day of the quit and so far I haven't gained any weight. In fact, I've been more active and conscious of what I'm eating than I was before I quit. This quit feels AMAZING!!!
