Healthy1! I don't get around here much anymore but am thrilled I came in time to see this post. I am so proud of you. I have watched you fight for your quit for the past two years. I'm so glad to see you reach this huge milestone! Don't let go!!!!!!!!! You have what it takes. Build on the 100 days you have achieved. You have what it takes to succeed. You have proven it. Congratulations! Some days may not seem so easy but it is just a matter of time before the thoughts of smoking vanish. They simply become a fleeting thought that is easy to ignore. Be proud and celebrate each milestone along the way! Sally, What an encouragement you've given to those in their early stages. It can be done and you are proof. Great job! Awesome touching post for your 100 quit!! If you can do 100 days.... you can do 200 days..and 300 days...and on and on. We can do it because we have learned that WE ARE IN CHARGE!! How do you like the beach? You made it too the beach. Congradulations. Once hitting the 100day mark it slowly begins to get MUCH easier. Hang in there. 100 days ... I began this journey, the third one attempted, with a confidence and a determination not to fail. I could say that, with previous failures, I was more equipped to avoid the same pitfall that had hindered my earlier failures. This would not be an accurate statement. One truth I have learned on this journey to quit smoking is that I am never" more equipped". From the day we lit up our first cigarette, we began a life-long commitment to an addiction. When I first arrived at this site, I was asked to fill-out information concerning my smoking habits. I did all the pre-quit activities asked of me. I was ready to begin this new life without cigarettes. I posted often, and read all of your inspirational stories. And then I failed. I failed because I am an addict. I was equipped with the tools and I did not succeed. So, my friends, I am at day 100. I wake up each day and I am thankful that I am not smoking. But I also know that this addiction will be at my side for the remainder of my life. At this point, I look to it as a challenge and I feel strong!! I wish all of you success with your quit and I am so happy that you are here to support me. thanks for listeing, sally My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 101 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,020 Amount Saved: $454.50 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 9 Mins: 17 Seconds: 2
