Tony, You'll find at this point in your quit you'll have good days and bad days. The good news is that these bad days do pass and become fewer and less intense as time passes. Nicotine suppresses appetite, now that you're not introducing it into your body, you're hungry all the time. This will balance itself out in time. If you're concerned about weight gain, start trying to make healthy choices and including more physical activity into your daily routine. You may find it helpful to set a goal. Start small and simple. Ex: 1, 20 minute walk a week. Once you've reached your goal and feel you need a challenge, change the goal. Don't forget to have fun! Physical activity shouldn't be a chore! Hi Tony! I know where you're at. I've gained enough now to make me uncomfortable and it is ticking me off, so the diet books have come out, and I need to cut up more veggies....but you know what? It all gets better! As you get further on your quit and all the worry about quitting finally subsides, the weight evens out too. I have done this before. I know I spent the first whole month on my sofa because I just felt like I needed to be there to let the ole bod heal. Now that my energy is starting to return for the better, its time to do the excercise. Never had the time to excercise when I smoked, was too busy smoking. (Wasting the precious time) So just keep in mind, Smoking is not an option! Walk, jog, run, box, play ball whatever blows your horn! I am walking every morning! We can do it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,149 Amount Saved: $474.75 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 13 Mins: 11 Seconds: 9

Boy do I hear you! I DREAM about food. The other night I woke up at 2 am, slugged my hubby and said "Doesn't a BLT on toast sound WONDERFUL?" He got up and went to the couch...... Keep the quit. That is of utmost importance right now! Sure hope those aren't divorce papers in this certified letter........... Tony, Hang on Bud! One minute at a time... it will pass just like all the others. It's one less crave you will have to endure. Good job!
