Sensitivity to sound

Kevin, Your senses will be heightened when you quit! Your body will adjust in time, so know that this is normal. Always check with your doctor to rule out anything medical :) Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

I wonder if it is because our nerves are so sensitive right now??? My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 62 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,248 Amount Saved: $255.44 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 5 Mins: 53 Seconds: 5

Hi Kevin! I had the same thing with sound. It lasted only a couple of weeks. It was sort of scary for me tho. One day in WalMart, I told my husband I couldn't hear just "one" sound, it was as if it was "all" the sounds had joined together and was in my ears!! Thought I was going crazy for sure that time! But it is gone now, thank God! Since I stopped smoking, I have become very sound sensitive. Anybody else experienced this?

Phil, that went sent me to the floor! I am still laughing. Its the opposite here, my husband has the TV cranked, I think he's going deaf, and I can hear quite fine, so everything seems too loud for me, especially hockey night in Canada....those announcers can drive ya round the bend with their heightened excitement!
