Hi Lawchick - while I can't relate to your exact physical condition, I do know that I have a variety of physical symptoms that rocket me into anxiety. It almost feels like I spend my day "scanning" and once I find something of enough concern, I latch on and blow it up. The physical symptoms change day to day...but learning to see them for what they really are - i.e. an excuse to panic - is very important for me. If your situation is of particular concern, the best advice is to see a doctor. After a period of time with our doctors telling us we're "ok" physically, I guess we have to start challenging the thoughts that we attach to the physical symptom.

Thank you for your responses guys. I just feel like all of these bizarre symptoms keep me anxious. Even when I'm not having an acute episode, I have all these strange sensations.

I absolutely agree with hopeful. Panic does always look for new things to throw at us to make us feel bad. I just recently recovered from a multiple pelvic fracture and that is when my panic and anxiety began. I had many pains and my mind became so in tune with each little tiny twitch. I thought for sure every pain was a sign I would never walk right or without pain again. Well That didn't happen...I had a complete recovery. But NOW my mind still tunes in to every quiver or twitch and thinks the worse and then here I go with a full blwn panic attack. I am getting better but I still have work to do. rose

It could be that you are tensing up and irritating the muscles in your neck and chin. I know that panic and anx cause all kinds of symptoms that you don't think it can. I used to worry about each and every little thing that my body did. Now I have learned to let them go, and not dwell on them. It's been a hard thing for me to learn, but it has helped me alot. Panic is always looking for a new way to come out and scare us. It wants to be in the forefront of our minds, so it comes up with scary symptoms to make us notice it. Good luck to you!

Hi Lawchick, I really have no idea what the sensations in the right of your chest, throat and chin could be. I get tightness in the throat and chest from anxiety. I also experience a lot of stiches when I'm anxious that happen on the right side of my chest too. I guess it could be stich related, brought on by anxiety. I've never experienced or heard of anything like this with the chin though. Anxiety and panic comes up with all sorts of strange symptoms but I'd get this checked out anyway. I just looked at my wrist and couldn't see my pulse moving. But I remember years ago when I was at school we were playing some sport and I recall seeing my inner wrist pumping away then. All the veins were up on my hand too, like you said the pressure of it all. I can see my heart beating though, no matter if I'm relaxed or exerted. It's not high blood pressure or anything, just cause I'm a boney lass. Hope this makes you feel a little more at ease. Hopefully someone will have an answer to that chin symptom for you. It may also be tired muscles in your chin. Being anxious we tend to use those muscles a lot. Keep us posted. :)

I'm confused about this new and very annoying sensation I get. I get PVCs and palpitations from time to time. Lately, I've been getting a sensation similar to a palpitation on the RIGHT side of my chest. It is followed by a sensation of tightness/pressure on the right side of my chest, throat and chin. The sensation of pressure lasts a while, like an hour or so. It is not precipitated by anything that I can identify, but it's disarming b/c it is very sudden. Also, does anyone else see their pulse in 2 points on the inside of the wrist? I know you are supposed to be able to feel it, but can anyone else actually see it jumping? I feel like the pressure is very hard, and when I look I can watch it beating away.
