Windy, Windy, remeber the days you when you would have killed for a cig? Look at you!! Over 200 days and becoming buff :eg: You have given up cigs so you could have a better life and now you are working you a$$ off so you can have better health. I can not begin to tell you how proud of you I am. You are doing a tryatholon (sp)!!! Who would thought 212 days ago you would be ready to this. Maybe after the event Friday we could have a celebration party. You can cheat for one evening :p Maybe a Nutty Buddy in order. Anyway you are doing so good and things will be just fine. Lots going on in your life right now. Thanks you guys - I really feel like I have hit the wall today. I went through an entire pack of gum today. As soon as I got home, I made a huge fruit smoothy and now I am downing an entire bag of popcorn. As much as I would like to pretend that exercising has been a sign of amazing self-discipline, it has honestly been my #1 method of burning off stress and allowing me to keep eating lots of food. I thought that I was looking forward to a 2 day break from the gym.....but maybe it isn't as great as it seems. On the positive side, I have just about reached my weight loss goal. On the negative side, I seem to have plateaued. It was really exciting to lose the weight, but now that I've done it, I'm kinda feeling like "Okay...I did it...Is this all there is??" I went through a similar time in my quit - Okay, I quit smoking...Isn't life supposed to be great now? Soooo...I'm at loose ends and I don't know what I want (except, of course popcorn and smoothies). Is this another phase? What's next? Windy, I think that after 212 days of not smoking, if you feel like eating all day- then eat! Could it be some underlying stress of husband/triathalon/etc.? Stress usually makes me over eat. Whatever the case, don't beat yourself up about this, you are truly an inspiration for quitters like me. Be kind to yourself today and always. Windy, It's you time! Take the advice of relaxing and drink lots of water! Pamper yourself and treat your body right :) This will come in time and you need to make a plan. Your preparing and this is great, look to it as a goal you want to achieve! You can do this, just as you have quit smoking and achieved 212 days! For tonight relax and refocus, tomorrow is new day and brighter day! Josie _____________________ The SSC Support Team.

Windy, I'm sorry that you're having a tough day. My vote = go home and eat and eat and eat until you can't eat anymore. Just be sure that you're only eating veggies! Hi Windy I get like that sometimes, usually its around that time of the month. But lately since I quit, food and I get along very nicely. Almost too nicely, thats why I am starting my exercise program. Maybe you are feeling just a bit too much stress from quitting as well as your husband coming home and worring about your triathalon. Try a hot bath when you get home to relax a bit and forget those worries for a little while. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 41 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,039 Amount Saved: $205 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 9 Mins: 39 Seconds: 45

I don't know what's up with me today but I feel like I want to go home and eat and eat and eat and eat until I can't possibly eat anymore. I went out for lunch, ate everything on my plate and I was still hungry! I am on an exercise break (to prepare for Friday fitness thing) so I am not burning any calories. I have admit that I have gone through moments where I really craved food but today is something else! I don't know what it is - Perhaps I replaced cigarettes with food and replaced food with exercise and now I'm not sure what to do with myself! Maybe I am just tired of watching what I eat. My hubby has been working out of province for a long time and I am really excited that he is coming back. I'm also a little scared about how I will possibly maintain this diet/exercise regime with him in the home and whether I will go backwards. Maybe once I get to the gym, I will be able to work off some of this extra stress....but right now I just want to EAT!!
