Dear jenanddan, If sounds as though you may be having some hallucinations. I would recommend you let your family doctor know about what has been happening. Keep posting, we'll help you through this. Susanne

Hi sky thanks for replying it makes me feel a little better that other people have the same things I do. It is so hard to ignore the physical symptoms!! It gets me thinking I have a brain tumor and all other terrible things!! Are you taking medication? My doc put me on clonezapam but I don't want to take it too often because I don't want to get addicted!!

Hi Rhonddaro, I'm just putting my hand up here to say I too know what you're talking about. You're not going crazy, don't worry! The nauseous, dizzy feelings remain with me through out the day aswell. Some days are better than others. You learn to live with it. I find my best days, the days with less panic and anxiety are the days I accept the physical symptoms. When I'm not worried about them, they're not as savvier and they even disappear! Trish, you're spot on with that scan mode!

Welcome to the group!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and concerns with us. How long have you been feeling this way? Have you been to your family Doctor to discuss these symptoms? If not, try our Anxiety test and print your results to give to your Doctor. This will help your Doctor see what you have been experiencing. Please feel free to continue to visit our site! Looking forward to your next post. Take care, Melanie

Welcome Rhon! This IS a good site and I have found alot of helpful information in the Panic Program and alot of support here in this forum! Those symptoms you describe are pretty common it seems. I get those, plus a very dry mouth, tingles all over. I get them before, during and after panic. I call it heightened awareness, every body function seems amplified as well as lights, sounds, smells etc. It can bring on panic all by itself. So your definitely not alone! Glad to have you!

Hi Rhon, GERD= gastro--esophageal --reflux--disorder, basically extremely bad episodes of heartburn. I occasionally get heartburn, but knock wood, not enough that a TUMS can help. But it is quite common in panic attack sufferers, and adds to anxiety. And will cause anxiety too. Trish

Hi Trish thanks for replying! I just found this site today and it's helping me a little already. What is GERD? I have had an ekg, lung x-ray and blood work done for my doc to confirm her diagnosis as panic disorder. I have had attacks before but never like this. Just knowing I'm not alone helps!!

Hi Rhon, Welcome !!!! Yes these are very common symptoms of anxiety that precedes panic attacks. Our bodies seem to switch to scan modes and everything little symptom will escalate and more can follow. This site and program will help you to identity triggers, stresses that bring on the anxiety before panic can strike with a vengenance. Alot of people have GERD with panic attacks. Do you experience mild indigestion or more acute episodes? You may have that area checked out, and once under control, will help on the anxiety. Trish
