Laurel,
I gained 27 pounds with 2 months. I went up 2 dress sizes. And somehow my shoes are smaller too........
At first, I freaked!!!! But quickly realized that losing it would come later. Focusing on my quit was first and took everything I had.
Now, I am 7 months quit. I have not lost even an ounce. I joined a gym 2 1/2 months ago, and have been going 4 days a week. I didn't really think I was eating anything different.
I brought it up to my doc, and she told me not to worry. I have another appt with a doc next week, and will demand he take notice to it. My numbers are extremely high given my height and bone structure. I feel it painfully in everything I do. On Friday I go to my first weight watchers meeting. I am at a loss as what to do next. I simply cannot lose any weight. I am about to go on a hunger strike with myself!! just kidding. I couldn't last more than a few hours without something.
I was curious though, if anyone knows how diabetes affects all of this. I am pre-diabetic, (well that is what I was 1 year ago) and now with my weight gain. I'm sure I am a full diabetic. But with the chaos of my metabolism and quitting smoking, and diabetes, can it all play a role in why I cannot lose any weight??
