From what I've seen here, most gain the first 6 months and lose it the last 6. That's very generalized, but it is the pattern I've seen.
This is what I needed to hear. Thank you. I just need to know there is light at the end of the tunnel at SOME point and I'll be ok.
Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!!!
I know i have failed quits before because i decided i would rather be a smoker than a fat person. I hope that you are not thinking that
I actually was starting to think that. But I know I can't go back to smoking, so it had me in a tizzy because I felt stuck. I don't want to smoke and I don't want to be fat!!!!
Being uncomfortable in our bodies feels just awful
That is exactly how I feel. I don't feel like I can move freely. I don't know how totally explain it ... it is like wearing a pair of tight jeans all day. By the end of the day you can not wait to get them off ... only with your body/skin ... you can't 'take' it off like a pair of jeans. It is a horrible feeling.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words, words of experience, encouragement and advice. I called a friend and cried to her and vented as well. Then I got off my 'pity pot' and FLUSHED! Then I went swimming laps for an hour. ;p My mascara is a little runny ... but I'm gonna be fine. Now in 3 more months if these pounds are still not coming off ... someone's gettin' hurt! ;p heh! j/k
