Okay, so once again, I know I haven't been on here much at all but I wanted to let you kow what I've been up to. I think I may be going through mid-life crisis, (can that happen when you're about to turn 34?) but I'm okay with that because I'm making big time improvements in my life. The first, was obviously to quit smoking. Now, I have moved on to the next step. I have been keeping a journal and I want to share w/ you what I have done. (I need to brag.)
Monday - 2.5 miles, weights, crunches
Tuesday - 2.5 miles, weights, crunches (this is killing me)
Wednesday - had a really difficult time sleeping last night and woke up tired. 2.5 miles in the morning, weights, crunches, 3 miles in the evening - today was the funnest since the 3 mile walk was in White Rock Lake. I want to do this again tomorrow!
Thursday - I hate the scale. I've been working my butt off and this morning it said I was 2 lbs. more than yesterday. I don't think weighing everyday is a good idea. Now, Im up for my workout and I'm totally bummed out. Going to walk.
Completed 2.5 miles doing 1.25 w/ weights and 1.25 without. Did weights after the walk. I feel tired, but good. I didn't realize I had muscles under all this fat.
Walked 3 miles around White Rock Lake tonight in 43 minutes. I really enjoy this part!
Friday - Walked 2.5 miles and used 3 lbs. hand weights. Walked 3 flights of bleechers up and down. Learned new stretching techniques to incorporate in my work-out.
Saturday - 3 miles today! Half of the length of the field doing high leg lifts (this was hard). Weights. I feel great! I may start getting up earlier. Today I was out at the field at 7:30 and I liked getting there earlier.
I will try to post once a week and let you know how I progress.
I have made a difference this week and feel great about it. If I keep this up, I know my life will change. No more excuses!
Have a great and safe 4th eveyone!!! T.
P.S. Think of me on the 3rd - I turn 34!! :p
