Okay, well since I was weighed in today, I figured I could start with my current situation. (Not so good.) About 3 weeks ago, I was at 175.4. Now I am 180 even. Yes, I have gained 4.6 pounds and have been on WW and been working out. These are my stats: 180/178 3X 1200 My goal weight is 132. Oh, T! Please don't be embarrased! I started at 271 on my mission. That was February of 2005...here I am at 232, 39 pounds lighter. I have struggled with my weight for my ENTIRE life and I will continue to do so. I was raised in a sedentary family so to me, sittin in front of the tube is my idea of a good time. It is very hard to break that...my ex used to say "you can lay down when your dead!" He is right but when you have been engrained to be lazy it is so hard. I still eat too much and not the best things but I try to monitor it better. Like instead of eating a whole bag of chips during a show I put a handful on a plate and that is all I eat! I always include veggies and sometimes fruit in my daily diet as well. We have to rejoice in the small victories along the way...just like quitting. So, my wieght is 232 pounds. My goal right now is to get to 200, then once I hit that I would someday like to be 180...but that is the smallest, I have a big build and when I get below 175'ish I look gaunt and sickly! Here we go guys! If you don't feel comfy posting your weight that is fine...but for the ones that do, I think that should be fine too. Hi all, this sounds like fun and very much similar to the Daily Diet watch that others have on this site. Since I quit I have gained 15 wonderfully healthy pounds. *this is me with a smile* Really when I quit and noticed the weight gain I got serious as I could with walking and bike riding and other exercise. I wanted to post in the daily diet watch but what has held me back is I know that what I eat and mostly the amount I eat is not what I really want to shout out loud, at last not yet. I have not been able to get control of that yet. I'm just so darn happy about not smoking and feeling healthy. I'm also dealing with menopause and weight gain from that. It took the first full 4 months of my quit for my body to finally get with the program and not rebel in many different functions. I know that the weight issue will come in perspective soon. Maybe if I do join up with you all and set goals I can get my weight and eating habits under control. Heck I quit smoking I can do anything I set my mind to now. All of our quits are different and unique and some of you that are early in your quit might experience your body go through many different things. I think it's great that you want to take control of your weight before it becomes a real problem. Good luck to all I'll follow how ever you want to do this.
