One of two things may be causing this. Depending on which NRT your using, you're body is either going through the normal withdrawals of nicotine or it's the NRT itself.
If the NRT is providing less nicotine than your cigarettes did, it's just as Casey mention you're body adjusting to having more energy that smoking deprived it of.
If the NRT is the patch or Zyban/Wellbutrin/Habitrol, it's a side effect, you're body should adjust. If it doesn't consult your doctor.
In the meantime, you can try wearing yourself out with physical activity 5 hours before bed.
