Hi Samantha, I agree with Eleveno... most of the fun times do indeed involve other people. I spend a lot of time by myself and think that I prefer it that way, but maybe I need to re-evaluate that notion.
Three moments of recent fun: Playing softball (first time since middle school and I wasn't that bad at it :o); Playing a new board game with my dh; Playing silly games with my granddaughters.
After each of these times I felt lighter and younger and full of fun & excitement. I "never" feel that way... more thoughts to challenge there! I guess I am learning that I can have fun and be fun and that it isn't that hard to participate once I get myself moving in the right direction. Too often my first response to such invites is "No... I can't do that" or No, I'm too tired... or too depressed... or... whatever excuse I can come up with.
It is interesting to notice that most moments of fun involve quality time with family and friends. I do not know exactly what I learned from these moments except that I forgot temporarly some of my frustrations and apreciate more life.
Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one. Dr. Seuss
Making sure to include fun in your life is really important! What are three moments of fun that you experienced recently? How did these experiences affect you? What did you learn from them?
