Did you know that before Valentine's Day, there was a festival called Lupercalia that was celebrated on february 15th. It is believed it was a ritual to Faunus to chase evil spirits and bring fertility. From what I read it was celebrated till the 5th century!

Have a great day and as the moderator said - if you don't have someone to spend the day with; pamper yourself. You deserve it! We all do! I'm going to see a play with my son, wife and granddaughter. And I guess I'll take a bath before I go, do my nails and spiffy up a bit.
