Hi Rose306,

Thanks for updating us on your situation with the meds. Glad to see that you stopped taking the wellbutrin and that you are feeling much better now. Hope you can get back on track with other aspects of your life and feel more like yourself!'

hi rosie and gang - well......wellbutrin threw me for a loop! exactly as rosie said. called my doc yestereday, he said stop taking them now (12 days). back just taking lexapro and feel 100% better. some work and some don't. i wonder what goes thru a doctors head when he says keep taking them even when you feel like crap. i think we know better than they do - it's our bodies and our reactions. anyways, rosie, i don't remember reading if they worked for you eventually or you found something else. how are you? i missed this place and i missed my walking, neither or which i could muster while on the w.

Rosie,

We recommend that you keep your MD apprised of any disrupting side effects. If you need to discuss side effects at length, your pharmacist can be a great resource!

Unfortunately, Wellbutrin is not a magic bullet. For this reason, we strongly recommend you prepare for your quit by utilizing the tools in your glove compartment to help you put together a quit plan. Some of the exercises will also better prepare you for what to expect in terms of withdrawals.

hello rosie,
wellbutrin is the drug i think they all start with - it made me lightheaded and that was all. i gave it a fair shot - 2months - then paxil - 3 yrs - took myself off thinking i was ok now and read some negative things (class action lawsuit for one). after being off meds for 6 months my life went even more straight to hell. found a good psychiatrist - 1 1/2 hour interview - now i take lexapro for depression and klonopin for anxiety. the klonopin could be on an as needed only basis. so far so good. he said that lexapro is the best now available, i believe him, have read alot, that's why they do those research studies to improve or create better drugs. not a silly fear, at all. hang in there! just my 2 cents. gotta have a confirmed diagnosis too - is it major depressive disorder? because if it's bipolar, the drugs are different.

Has anyone had any side effects from taking Wellbutrin? Since I started drinking them (about a week ago) I feel lightheaded, dizzy, nauseus and I sleep about 4-5 hours a night. My doc says I need to stay on them for longer. Will the side effects get less over time? I work at a factory and I am very nervous of passing out or falling and getting hurt or something. Is this just a silly fear?
I just feel frustrated- this is my second bash at finding an antidepressant and I can see this might take more time that I anticipated.
