Eating right is so important in controling your diabetes. (no sugar) Taking your meds is important also. Exercise is another important thing. Taking a walk in the wilderness sounds great. Just the thought of the beauty of the wilderness brought a smile to my face. Keep your chin up and remember that diabetes is a very treatable disease. You can live a very long life with diabetes. Keep enjoying the wilderness and take a walk through it for me. Thanks again for making me smile (about the beaauty of the wilderness).
hi
i recently met a couple of old friends. One was now legally blind. she had to ask if it was me. the other one had just lost the front of foot. It had been amputated....that is diabetes at work..that is my disease.
i don't know how many quality years I have left. I don't have good dicipline in terms of exercise and eating. when i am depressed the struggle becomes somewhat more difficult.
my resolve is to at least take the time to walk in the wilderness, while I can and to observe the natural beauty while I can see.
in doing so I am fighting both depression and diabetes.
the old cliche states: "take time to smell the roses."
