Thanks for your input. So far no mood swings. Actually I was taking 150mg of Effexor and have reduced to 75mg. So far so good. I am going to get a sleep study done to see about the restless leg.

Yes, I had wrestless leg syndrome too on all the SSRI's and I used to rub my legs with aromatherapy oil, mixed with olive oil or sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil. Lavender is the cheapest, but Chamomile is really sedating to the nerves. Any of the sedating essential oils will do. If the oil penetrates through the skin it will affect the nerves in the legs, as well as through the smell if you are especially wired, oil your whole body and face. Five drops in a teaspoon full of oil, and rub it in well. It really worked for me. But best of all, if you can change to a less strong medicine which will not produce the side effect in the first place, which is where I am now.

Thanks for the reply. The Dr. gave me Neurotin to help with the restless legs. It helps me sleep well but my husband says I still kick and move my legs around all night?! I have stopped taking Welbutrin under Dr's care. Hope the leg thing stops soon!

my leg started shaking all the time after i started taking paroxtine (paxil) i thought it was the meds weird dont know what to say about that its almost like its soothing and its pretty much at the peak of my day after taking my morning pill it shakes until it goes numb, but i have a sit down job so not moving all day is probly why. and about the neurotin what are you taking that for? i took that along time ago for my head but it gave my problems and then not but 3 months ago i heard they had a law suit going against it because it causes depression and suicidal thoughts.i hope this is a little helpful you should really look into it.

Very interesting Annie. I will keep track of my restless leg symptoms, or I should say my husband will, I've been keeping him up! Thanks for your input.

I have had restless leg syndrome for years. I think it is related to my hormones esp. my pitutary. I do not take anti depressents yet, but I know that my restless leg syndrome only gets better during certain times of the month.
