You cannot always control what goes on outside. But you can always control what goes on inside. - Wayne Dyer
Thoughts can vary, even inside ourselves. I see the inside as a number of roads, so there are choices, leading to patterns of thoughts, even though we can have many individual ones
I'm glad to hear you feel the same way, about it being okay to chat. I think sometimes it's good to have light and humorous things to talk about, as well as the topics everyone is discussing. Laughter breaks up the seriousness and I find it to be a good release. It's nice to hear from you as well. I have gaps between my Audubon Society meetings and events also.
Thanks for acknowledging me, even if it's off the original thread. I felt bagged this morning, and couldn't squeeze anything out of myself to comment.
I think it's okay to chat, since we're a support group, and the topics of the threads are just touchstones for our support. I would doubt that the expectation was just follow "the program" and do homework and be robots.
As for my finger, I've wanted to buy some better knives that those "block" knives we get for gifts. Maybe there's some cooking classes I can fill in between now and the new year It's always nice hearing from you, especially since I have a gap of time between now and mid-january when courses resume
I'm sorry I missed your earlier post about your avatar. It does look rustic and optimistic! I liked it as soon as you posted it :)
Oh my gosh - I forgot about the man purse and yes they've come back. It's funny how every so many years styles come back from previous decades although they are re named to something else.
Sorry you cut your finger - yikes! I've done that more than I've liked to, as well.
Well, I should stop chatting and let this thread get back to Quote of the Day :)
I am not judged by the number of times I fail, but by the number of times I succeed; and the number of times I succeed is in direct proportion to the number of times I can fail and keep on trying. - Tom Hopkins
Dedicate yourself to the good you deserve and desire for yourself. Give yourself peace of mind. You deserve to be happy. You deserve delight. - Mark Victor Hansen
Like Davit I would have to say that I think it would be a great step for man and myself included if we could eliminate panic disorders. This disorder has had a profound effect on my health or is it he other way around? Does my ill health contribute to the anxiety and panic/ptsd that I have? I am not sure which it is anymore..Probably some of both in my case...What ever the case I would like to stop the madness and physical sickness or vice versa and get my health back..
I had to look up the group H & O, and their music is part of growing up. So is disco. I just wonder how my European cousin convinced me to carry the darn man-purse? But they've come back!
You're so talented! As for my avatar, that's just a basket of dried beans for next year's beanstock, but it looked rustic, and optimistic, since mom wanted to save some seed for next season. I'd almost given up trying to compress it, but then I cropped it, and my theory worked - and it fit into the 50kb threshold!
I'm going to have to check on some cod & cornmeal I'm cooking(and part of my finger which I sliced - getting a good knife is on my list for Santa...reminds me to get in a cooking class too, since my knife skills have declined, judging by my slip of the knife on an onion)
