I have been going through something these past few years. My mother has hepatitis C from a blood transfusion she received years ago before they started tested blood in Canadian hospitals. She is only 72 and has been in a retirement home for 3 years. She is at the last stages of her disease. Yesterday she was brought to the hospital because her blood sugar was so low they could not get it up again. She is also diabetic due to this illness. I was sitting in the waiting room all day and I noticed that "Hey, I don't have a craving for a cigarette". It was a strange feeling. I would see people go our and smoke and see them smoking and not once did I think "That would be good". It's the first time in a long time that I felt that I may be able to do it this time. With all the stress and all.
I'm on day 28 and it feels good.
