I am keeping both you and Davit in my prayers. You always inspire me with your strength and positivity. I love what you have written about the drive and the wildlife you saw. It is a gift that you are able to see Beauty even during stressful times like these.

Good morning: I got up at 6 a.m. watered the greenhouses and got things ready for the person who is coming to do it, etc. Got my stuff packed and ready to go in about an hour.

Thank you so much for your support! It does mean so much. I will certainly let Davit know you are all cheering him on when they let him wake up a bit. He is heavily sedated to restrain his movements. Yesterday I squeezed his hand and he squeezed back once. This is when they let him wake up for an hour or so, then back to sleep.

I am o.k. Was very tired but had a pretty good sleep last night.

I have never been to this city where the hospital is located. Wanted to say, used my coping skills and positive self talk to get there and get through the traffic and found the hospital. I did get lost coming home last night, but just took it easy and told myself to double back and find that left turn that I had missed. The drive is a beautiful one with lots of wildlife, saw coyotes, deer and lots of bears. Never seen so many before, but as I was told they have all woken up for spring and are feeding on the fresh grasses. One was glossy black, shining in the sunlight. It was a beautiful sight. Can't wait to tell Davit all about it. He's so used to these sights and gets a kick out of me telling him as it is all new to me and exciting.

So sorry to hear about Davit..You will both be in my prayers..

Tell Davit hello from me when you see him and that I wish him well and a speedy recovery..Also let him know how much I enjoyed reading his posts recently and seeing his beautiful pic with the duck on the pond that he put up while you were gone..

Please update us when you get a chance..Whats important now is that you be at his side..I am sure that this will give him comfort and help him to breath easier..knowing that he is not alone..

I am shocked to hear about Davit but thank you for letting us know. I will be thinking of him all weekend so please, when you have a chance keep us updated.

How are you doing with everything Sunny? I know you have been through some challenging times recently; keep staying strong. Know we are all here for you to listen. Keep being your brave, wonderful self. I know Davit is likely very grateful to have you by his side in such a difficult time.

Hello everyone: Not sure where to post this. Please do not read this if you think it will upset you. I wasn't sure if I should write this but then thought some of you who know him may want to know and your support means so much.

Yesterday we had to call an ambulance for Davit at 4:00 a.m. He has had emergency surgery - took over 2 hours and is now in Intensive Care. They can't stabilize him yet and he is heavily sedated. He is having difficulty breathing and is still on a respirator and his surgeon has told me that his condition is very serious. Since his immune system is already weak, they are pumping him with antibiotics, morphine too. Unfortunately, his surgery is now septic. The doctors are hoping to take him off the respirator tomorrow but may have to reinsert if he still has trouble with his lungs. The surgery was for a ruptured ulcer - they think the ulcer was caused from 20 yrs. of meds. for his chronic arthritis and pain management.

I've been at the hospital (2 and half hours away) since the beginning, but came home today to get a change of clothes, shower and arrange to have someone take care of our pets and the greenhouses. I have found someone, so I am relieved and won't worry when I go back to the hospital tomorrow. They have given me a room right beside the ICU so I can sleep there or rest inbetween - so grateful to have this - and I will stay until he is stable. When he is stable enough to travel, (may take a full week) they will send him by ambulance to the hospital closer to home.
