Hoarding, Waiting for A Rainy Day or Procrastinating Cleaning Up

Hi hugs.
You are funny, I hope you meant to be. I'd hang on to the blanket. Memories even painful ones are nice to have, better than being a lump with no thoughts or emotions. Besides they let the pain out. So why not one stress to deal with another especially if it is one you know you can cope with. What ever works.

I wonder if anyone has connected their obsessive compulsive side to hoarding?
I wasn't sure if where to place this discussion topic, but I saw some stuff on organization.
I just notice as I try to clear things, that mom has these attachments, and irrational desires to do things, but then it's her house.

Even I had trouble letting go.  She had a blanket from WWII which the soldiers gave her in war-torn Europe.  It has that brownish colour, and I feel it has connection to history which just bleeds my hear to let go of.

Sometimes I think I'm moving things around in circles, like bureaucrats move things from one corner of a desk to another, without anything getting done.

As we downsize, I don't want to stress mom, but have to make room for her to live more comfortably.

Somebody throw me a chill pill.  It was a productive day, but mom's moods make my swings look like a drop in a glass of water.  It did change my focus from other crises.

Maybe I've found a new coping strategy.  If I stressed out, just find another stress
