As you know I'm pretty far north but I do have every available space in the house covered with flats of seedlings. They will go out to My little greenhouse next week. We still have some snow but the roses are uncovered now. Not your kind of roses I'm afraid. I don't think they will grow here.
My big greenhouse needs new plastic and I need help for that. Going to put a stove in for rainy days this year. My squash are in pots but can't go out for a month and a half unless I put them under covers.
I ache from head to toe from too much work but it is work I like. Stress level is too high and so is my BP. Ho hum, still a little room before I have to bail my ship. Life IS good. At least right now when the sun shines. No foreseeable storms on the horizon except cataract surgery some time.
I wrote down a quote from what you wrote, because it inspired me and I like to read it every day. It is, "...and remembering that I do have some control over my own destiny...I am the master of my own ship and it is my duty to take care of that ship." I LOVE THAT!
Wishing Everyone Well and a lovely Spring to all who read here...
I am Still Alive and Kicking. I am finally learning how to and letting myself decompress, relax and enjoy life a little. That seems to be part of the key to it all for me..I am very doing well. I've hiking around the store and zoo with no problems at all..I don't even need blood pressure meds anymore, thats how good it's getting..The key for me was learning to assert myself and learning to relax and remembering that I do have some control over my own destiny..I am the master of my own ship and it is my duty to take of that ship.
Now on to another subject and one of my favorites too...Growing things..The carrots and lettuce are sprouting, the squash is getting ready to bloom, the potatoes are doing great and the rose buds are opening..

Hi Hugs and Red: yes, it's kind of fun, but it's hard work too. I just do what D. tells me to do as he is the knowledgeable one here, though I can say what I would like. The utility closet was my idea and its location too but he has the know-how to do it. Next project is a new door and window in the kitchen to go out onto a side deck - this is the door the dog will use the most. The deck D. made just before I got here.
This summer it is a large living room and another bedroom with a deck wrapped around both all the way to the garden. I would like French doors from the bedroom to go onto the deck in the morning so I can have my coffee outside and view the mountains - I brought some wicker furniture when I came so I can use it there.
We have a highway here but it is 1/4 mile away or so, don't hear much nor see anything as there is forest inbetween and the railroad is about a mile away. We do hear the train whistle at crossings, but it is far away, almost dreamy like.
Having a coffee right now and thinking about what I am doing today. Need to get some 2x4s and 2x6s.
We've been there and done that..So glad it is finished now..You will be too..The new windows sure have make a difference in our heating and cooling bill..and they keep all the noise out from the freeway that is near by..Of course you two don't have to worry about noise, living in the beautiful countryside..You are so lucky..
