Just love your mentality!  but your so right. I put on about 8lb
but like some of you I try to keep it down by walking.
I'll take on board what you said and think about what I am eating.
Thank's bj

Yes, i have maintained a good weight since i quit.

I drink plenty of water & exercise when i can. I don't go to a gym or anything like that, i just walk as much as i can instead of driving. With gas as expensive as it is this aint a problem !.

remember Energy in = Energy out.

how's it going..   I am about 152 or 3 days quit now.   I have maintained my weight.   may have gained one or 2 lbs. but everyone fluctuates a little anyway.

There was one REALLY bad day... and I did eat my way thru the kitchen... but it was one or 2 bites of something.

when you decided to have chocolate... or whatever to distract the craving... sit down and think about what it is you are eating.  chew it, let it melt or whatever.. enjoy the experience it of it... don't just cram it in your mouth.. and gulp it's gone.

It is a "reward"  for not putting yucky chemicals, rat poison etc in your body.

Keeo yourself next to you a 1 liter bottle of water and buy chewing gum. When you get an urge to smoke use any of the two or a combination of both. For me it works and its fun...

Also, get yourself a bycicle ans start biking...you will feeel great...kill the urges to smoke and you will lose weight also

One more Try ...... one day at a time and one thing at a time, we humans can put out fires but we only have only  one fire hydrant each , so we must do it, one thing at a time.  Exercise regularly, it helps with smoking and the weight and your body will get it's control back over time and you will lose the weight.  I was overweight for almost 15 months and then I took care of it , my water hydrant was free to use.  So relax, breath deeply, try not to worry about it and everything will take it's place.

Love the non-smoking new life...
Marie

Congratulations on 23 days.  I believe you can do both but I also think you have to choose your priorities.  It's hard enough doing one.  You know best what you can handle.
